Wheel Thrown Raku Fired Form. 16.5cm tall, 14cm wide
This form is one of a series that alludes to the horizon line and the landscape of the Central Australian desert. It has been fired using the raku method in a small kiln, removed with tongs when red hot and reduced (burnt) in sawdust which affects the colour and texture of the clay and glazes. Because of the firing method, no two pieces can be the same as the flame and oxygen levels vary.
